Sofi completed her activity sheet for the local library reading program so we headed down to the library to pick up her prize. I didn't tell her what it would be so I could see her face when the librarian handed her the big case of art supplies! She absolutely loved it: crayons, colored pencils, oil pastels, markers, water colors, art eraser, ruler, pencil sharpener. What a perfect prize for Sofi who continually raids my scrapbook supplies for her own art projects. Yay for Sofi!
After lunch, the girls and I went to the mall so I could pick up my own prize: a plastic scrapbooking storage chest. I've been busy organizing my scraproom for the past few days and need more of these chests but I don't want to pay full price for them. So I buy them one by one, each time using a 40% coupon from Joann's. At Michaels (yes our mall as both a Joanns and a Michaels! Lucky me.), I also picked up a much-needed Slick Writer in black and American Crafts D-ring 12 x 12 album in black (on sale) and a totally unnecessary pack of K & Co. chipboard alphas designed by Carolyn Gavin - designer of Eco Jot. They were only 97 cents I later realized. Plus I had a 20% coupon for my entire purchase. I might have to go back and get more of the same line.
And here are my cutie-pie girls hanging out together on the new leather recliner we got at Ikea. The chair is way too big for our space but it is comfortable. It is the official video-game playing chair for Jamie (and Sofi).
