a new layout

I love the Early Bird line by Cosmo Cricket so when I saw that Kenner Road had some of it in its June kit I had to pick it up. This layout is about our first BBQ at our new house.

**************
Today, I spent the better part of the day cleaning the house. Actually picking up the house. Putting toys away. Doing laundry. Folding laundry. Getting stuff off the floor. The reason? Well, we decided to try a new housecleaner. She makes her own green cleaners. Baking powder for the toilet. Vinegar for the kitchen. She cleaned the floor, not with a mop, but on her hands and knees. She spent a good 4 hours getting our house a lot less dusty. And little more green.

I also made a HUGE improvement in my scrapbook book room. You can actually see most of my floor. It's still not organized, just a lot less dusty. Also I have Zara's playmat on the floor so she can hang out with me in here. All I need is a nice comfy loveseat or chair and more storage.
Note: We just back from Target and got some more cubicle shelving :) Zara's first trip to Target.

Return of the nap?

Jamie made a deal with Sofi. If she naps in the afternoon, she can stay up later and thus spend more time with Jamie after he finishing working. Brilliant! I get a little break during the day. Sofi gets more quality Daddy time. And is less cranky at night. This also enabled us ALL to go to Target together after getting some gyros at the mall.

Cosmo Cricket love

One of my favorite paper manufacturers is having a DT call!

So I'm posting my favorite projects using Cosmo Cricket. I recently bought the Girl Friday collection and love it!

Here's my most recent layout using Girl Friday and some monograms letters from Hey Sugar. My first paper page of baby Zara.

*baby yawn*

I handstitched a butterfly trail and added some cross stitches to the monograms.

I cut up one of the Girl Friday borders ("love you") and layered some chipboard and rub-ons.

I used rub-on letters on top of this journaling spot to spell out Zara's name.

*dreamy*

Used Girl Friday chipboard and rub-ons here.

*I'm not your average girl*

Use one of the borders and lots of Girl Friday rub-on words.

*happy*

More Girl Friday (paper and chipboard title). The frame is digital.

*play*

This one is a hybrid - mixing up some Kitschy Digitals plus Girl Friday (ribbon, tag, chipboard, rub-ons).

*loving baby zara*

I love this page. Love how just a few bits of Girl Friday chipboard and ribbon make the page!

*Life is Beautiful*

A hybrid card (using a tag from Girl Friday).

*another family photo*

Girl Friday sticker border, chipboard butterflies and rub-ons.

*real*

One of my favorite layouts using Girl Friday sticker border and rub-on.

Thanks for taking a look at my work!
